Jonathan Reed

Managing Director

Jonathan Reed is Managing Director of Debtwire, responsible for global commercial operations and strategy. From 2004 to 2008, as Head of Sales, Americas, he helped introduce Debtwire to North and Latin America. Prior to that post, he helped build the commercial side of Debtwire from its launch in Europe in 2003. Previously, Jonathan worked for ING Barings on its UK Institutional Equity Sales desk, focusing on sales to hedge funds and mutual funds. In 2000, he graduated from the University West of England, with a BA (Hons) in Business Administration.

Matt Wirz

Matt has 10 years experience as a financial journalist. Specializing in fixed income, he covered distressed debt in North and South America for Thomson Financial and emerging markets bonds for IFRMarkets.com and Emerging Markets Debt Report. Prior to reporting, he edited sell-side research for Alfa Bank in Moscow. Matt graduated with a dual BA in economics and political science from Columbia University. He has been interviewed by CNBC, Reuters, the Wall Street Journal, Investor's Business Daily, The Globe and Mail, Gazeta Mercantil and the Los Angeles Times, among others.

Luc Mongeon

Editor, Asia-Pacific

Luc has almost 20 years as a financial journalist in Asia covering fixed income, derivatives and distressed debt markets. Luc first started covering distressed debt markets in 1989 as a reporter for IFR in Japan; in 1998 he initiated and developed coverage of the Asian distressed debt markets for IFR Asia, and then, in 2003, initiated coverage of the Asian private placements/structured loan markets for the magazine. Fluent in Japanese, he studied at the Department of Comparative Culture at Sophia University in Tokyo. He also speaks French and some Indonesian.

Gabriel deSanctis

Editor, Latin America

Gabriel has over seven years experience as an emerging markets financial journalist. Focused on Latin America international and local capital markets, Gabriel has covered the region for IFR magazine, IFR Latin America, and IFRMarkets.com as a senior reporter and Technical Data as an analyst. He holds a BA in economics from Skidmore College and also conducted peripheral studies at the University of London and the Juilliard School of Music. Gabriel has been interviewed by Reuters Financial Television and has been quoted by Reuters, Dow Jones Markets, The Institutional Investor, Foreign Exchange and Money Markets magazine, El Universal, and Veneconomia for his views on Latin America.

Nick Briggs

Editor, Emerging Europe

Nick has over four years' experience as a financial journalist and has spent the last two years covering Emerging Europe. He joined Debtwire from capital markets newspaper EuroWeek, where he was first a reporter covering CEEMEA (central and eastern European, Middle East and African) syndicated loans, and later Loans Editor. Nick has also worked for two and a half years in Singapore as a journalist and sub-editor. He holds a BA in modern history from Oxford University.

Carrie-Anne Holt

Managing Editor, Debtwire Europe

Carrie-Anne began her career at Thomson Financial covering European M&A. With six years of reporting experience, she was later Editor of France Unquote and Private Equity Europe at Incisive Media prior to joining Debtwire. Carrie-Anne founded Incisive Media's leveraged finance coverage in 2003, establishing a network of contacts within the (then) relatively small European leveraged finance market. Carrie-Anne graduated with a first class honors degree in Business Information Management from Leeds Metropolitan University.

Ken Meehan

Ken has almost eight years of experience covering the North American fixed income market specializing in leveraged finance and distressed debt. Prior to joining Debtwire in 2005, Ken covered the primary leveraged loan and high yield bond markets for IFR's online and print products in New York. Formally credit trained, Ken began his career as a research analyst in the syndicated loan group of Thomson Financial Securities Data. He graduated with a BA in Economics from Boston University. Ken has been interviewed by CNNMoney.com and The New York Post for his views on distressed media credits.

Mike Gregory

Editor, Asset Backed Securities

Mike has close to 10 years of experience in the structured finance industry, working both as a financial journalist and marketing professional. Prior to joining Debtwire in 2007, Mike was Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing for United Capital Markets Holdings, where he oversaw advertising, media, events and industry relations for a regional broker/dealer and hedge fund specializing in distressed asset backed securities. Mike started as a reporter with Thomson Financial in the 1990s, and helped launch Asset Securitization Report in 2000, where he served as Editor until 2004.
